13 Workout Songs
That Get My Blood Boiling!

Fiery workout songs help me bring my best to a workout. A powerful song is so much fun to have in the background, and helps me realize I'm the hero of my own story that I'm living.

Weight training is one of the best methods of strength training! If you want to start weight training safely and effectively, with the best info, diet, and routines, check out the 5 Day Beginner Weight Training Course!

Here're the songs I use to get pumped. Take a listen...

1. Agni Kai Avatar

This song is the fight music from the popular TV series Avatar: The Last Airbender. You don't have to bend fire to your will to enjoy this fight music!

2. Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi - Carmina Burana

This opera piece is very famous, and I'll bet you've heard it before as part of the trailer for an epic movie. It's a great song to add to your workout playlist when you want to feel epic.

3. Next Stop, Everything!

This is the adventure music for the BBC's 11th Doctor in the series Doctor Who. Doctor Who does an awful lot of running to save the universe - it's great music for a workout, or your own universe saving adventure.

4. Battle Without Honor or Humanity

Battle Without Honor was made popular in the film Kill Bill, and played when two members of the former Deadly Viper Assassination Squad were locked in a duel to the death, protagonist Beatrix Kiddo and yakuza crime boss O-Ren Ishi-i.

Need to assassinate an old and powerful enemy? Listen to this song.

Need extra rage in your veins when you head to the gym? Listen to this song.

Add this one to your workout songs. It's stirring.

5. Heaven Help Us (European Instrumental)

This is a fun song with an epic beat. Add it to your other great workout songs.

6. You're The Best Around (Karate Kid)

If you saw Karate Kid when you were little, I don't need to explain the significance of this song to you. If you didn't, then I don't know if you'll appreciate this.

7. I'll Make a Man Out of You (Mulan)

Need to 'make a man' out of yourself? This song is almost as good as a sex change operation.

It will push you to your limits, and will become one of your favorite exercise songs. It's one of mine!

Train with the same insane, insatiable tenacity that allowed Mulan and her small band of heroes to turn back the Huns invading China!

8. Tank! (Cowboy Bebop)

This is the intro them for the anime series Cowboy Bebop. Enthusiasm and liveliness are the two words I'd use to describe how this affects me.

9. Flame (Witch Hunter Robin)

One of my favorite workout songs. It has energy, vigor, and spirit. I love it.

10. Remember The Name (Fort Minor)

This song has grit. I like it because it focuses fully on the will and pain and determination you need to succeed, and it's one of my favorite running songs.

Some of the Lyrics:

...Cause it's 10% luck,
20% skill,
15% concentrated power of will,
5% pleasure,
50% pain,
and 100% reason to remember the name!

11. Eye of the Tiger (Rocky)

This is the ultimate fight song, immortalized in the Rocky movies. It was also played every hour, on the hour, in the library at my college during finals week.

12. The Indiana Jones Theme

Indiana Jones, the coolest professor and archeologist on the planet. Listening to this theme makes me feel like traveling to exotic places, seducing foreign women, and doing my best.

13. Imperial March

This is Darth Vader's theme, and one of the best workout songs for feeling that you're Dark Lord of the Sith, ruler of the galaxy, and hunting down rebel scum. It's impossible not to feel awesome and intimidating with this music in your ears.

Sample To-Do List:

1. Go to gym.
2. Listen to Imperial March.
3. Have an awesome workout.
4. Go on to conquer the galaxy.
5. Party down.

BONUS: I Will Persist

This isn't really a song, but a poem read with determination and purpose. It doesn't have the beat or instrumental power that the other songs here do, but it has spirit.

Save it for the end of your playlist, when you need that last little kick in the ass and the best workout music. When you need to persist.

"About 2 weeks ago I read all the ab strengthening stuff on your site because I decided I wanted to be strong, instead of having a lot of belly fat. So I started eating healthier, running, exercising, you name it - everything your site said to do to help. Now I am noticing a real difference! Thank you for making this. :D xD"

[This calorie calculator is] the most useful tool on the web that I can find… Also, I compared the calories calculated by your calculator to the calories calculated by the treadmill at my gym, and they're within a couple calories of each other, so yours is as accurate as we're going to get. REALLY AWESOME TOOL. I love it and depend on it. Thank you sooooo much for making this available."
