These fast muscle building tips will help you get ripped fast. Not overnight, but certainly fast enough.

4. Cheap Tricks

The prior sections dealt with how to optimize your weight training program to stimulate your body to promote fast muscle building, how to perfect rest for building lean muscle mass, and how some supplements might give you an edge in fast muscle gain. Very important stuff.

Here are some completely separate cheap tricks to make your muscles bigger almost instantly. Well, not really bigger, but they'll definitely look bigger.

1. Go For The 'Pump'

Going for a pump means lifting weights with around 15 repetitions per set, and doing lots of sets of these. Like, 5 or 6 sets!

This is designed not really to fatigue your muscle fiber, but to pump blood into your muscles. This will give it a temporarily 'buff' look that will last for several hours after going to the gym.

BUT… this is ineffective for developing real muscle, or building real strength. It's just a trick you can use from time to time if you have a special occasion you want to look good for. But you should put in the work to build real muscle the vast majority of the time.

2. A Short-Term, Low-Carbohydrate Diet
With A High Carb Feed At The End

This is another trick that will make you look more muscular, but without actually giving you more muscle. Again, a short term trick you can use from time to time.

First, you're going to go on a diet for 1 to 2 weeks. This will lose you probably around 2 or 3 pounds of fat, making your muscles stand out more.

Second, make it a low carbohydrate, high fat diet. This (combined with your regular workouts, or 'pump' oriented workouts) will drain your muscles of their sugar (glycogen).

On the day you finish your diet, eat a regular amount of food - but make sure you eat a lot of carbohydrates! The carbohydrates will be mostly stored in your (empty) muscles to replenish their glycogen, along with some water. Which will increase the size of your muscles.

This combination of less body fat and puffed up muscles will make you seem more muscular. Or course, your muscle mass will have shrunk slightly because of the diet. But you will look much more muscular.

3. Posture and Stance

A lot of looking good actually comes from good posture and stance. I know - I stay at around 8% body fat, and my posture still makes all the difference in how I look.

Bend your knees and extend you spine, stretching yourself out. And you will probably want to work rows into your routine, which will help you keep your shoulders back.

This shoulders-back, head-up-and-butt-down posture extends the front of your body. And shows it off best!

Conversely, a slumped posture with your shoulders forward and spine bent puts your body on it's worst display. Don't do that after you've worked so hard to build more muscle.

Neither of these tricks will really cause fast muscle building. They are temporary ploys that will just make your muscles look bigger.

Rely on the concrete, sound wisdom in Part 1 and Part 2 to build real muscle fast. Though it's nice to have these tricks available, just in case.

5. Patience

The truly best ways to build muscle fast involve not building muscle fast. Your body can only build so much muscle, so fast.

You've seen all those overnight success stories and photos. They aren't all they're cracked up to be.

Really building muscle takes intense effort, rest, and time. Just use a basic workout program, follow all the fundamental ways to build muscle fast, and wait. You won't see much change after one or two workouts, but after a month, two months, or six months of dedication you will see a definite change.

6. A Positive Attitude And The Will To Continue!

Fluff, this is not!

Believe in yourself and put in the work and time. That's the best fast muscle building secret. What makes it a secret? So few people do it.

There is no magic, only the brutally efficient path I've laid out up to this point. It takes hard work, but it's definitely doable.

Here are a few quotes that I find helpful, and that I hope will aid you as well on your journey:

"Perseverance, patience, and determination will be repaid in untold wealth, health, strength, self-reliance and fortitude."

~ George F. Jowett

"It is one thing to see the forward path and another to be able to take it."

~ Sir Winston Churchill

"Self trust is the essence of heroism."

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

"About 2 weeks ago I read all the ab strengthening stuff on your site because I decided I wanted to be strong, instead of having a lot of belly fat. [This calorie calculator is] the most useful tool on the web that I can find… Also, I compared the calories calculated by your calculator to the calories calculated by the treadmill at my gym, and they're within a couple calories of each other, so yours is as accurate as we're going to get. REALLY AWESOME TOOL. I love it and depend on it. Thank you sooooo much for making this available."

Thank you very much, I was too lean before 2 years (55 Kgs), after the gym now I'm 72kgs, all the muscles have developed... when someone hand shakes with me it can be squeezed easily, they're making fun of me!
