Starting Strong, Issue #013 -, Happy New Year from CST!
January 13, 2011
Hi,

Happy New Year!

With a new year and new energy, you may want to get in better shape. You might even make it your resolution.

Heck, I want to get into better shape!!

So, check out the 30 Day New Year's Push-Up Challenge below. I know that sticking to something for a whole year can seem like a monumental and hopeless talk, but…

That's not what you're doing.

Just try something simple and new for the next 30 days. It's a great way to get stronger, and remember - you're not doing this alone ;-)

1) Somatotype: What's Your Body Type?

Your somatotype is your body type. Find out what your body type is, how these types originated, and what it means for you - and your exercise.

2) Strength Training For Martial Arts: Do It Right

Learn how to do strength training for martial arts the right way; whether it's grappling, kick-punch, weapons systems, or the internal arts.

3) Use Dynamic Stretches To Get Great Results

What dynamic stretches are, why they work, how to use them to get an edge in your sports and other activities.

4) 30 Day New Year's Push-Up Challenge

OK, here's the challenge; for the next 30 days, do 3 sets of push-ups in addition to your usual workout.

Or, if you don't have a usual workout, make this your usual workout.

Do them after your workout, when you first wakeup in the morning, right before going to bed - whenever works for you. Whenever it consistently fits into your schedule.

It's 3 sets of push-ups going to failure, with two 1 minute rests in between. This should take you 3 to 5 minutes AT THE VERY MOST. And more likely less.

This is doing something I love; taking something that, in and of itself is simple and almost insignificant, and using it to build yourself. Systematically. And not just your body - your resolve too.

Every day for 30 days.

And just remember: I'm doing this right along with you!

See you in 30 days (February 14th, if you start tomorrow on Jan. 14th). I'm curious to see how hard (or easy) this will be.

Till then!
