TRX is Great for Training in 3-D

by Ashley K.

Being a personal trainer at a very busy health club, I'm always looking for new ways to improve the facility and new ways to challenge my clients. TRX Suspension Training has been the newest addition to our workout equipment and has proven to attract much attention among the members.

TRX training encompasses a total body workout and allows me to challenge clients (and myself) in a 3-D space. The body is able to perform activities much better than being stuck in a 2-D space on a machine. In my opinion, this is the main advantage of the TRX Suspension Training system.

I use it personally in my own workouts and for my clients in the 18-45 age range to challenge them to perform more "bodyweight" exercises instead of piling on plates and sitting around on a machine. Using TRX, we are in constant motion and challenging the upper and lower body at the same time, allowing for a more complete workout.

The only dislike I have is that the TRX Suspension apparatus is quite large and its rather difficult to run TRX classes in the gym during a busy time when interest is very high, but space is so limited. The other small issue I have found rather challenging to overcome is that most members are interested in the TRX Suspension Training, but are too intimidated or fear they'll look "goofy" trying some of the activities.

Overall, for my clients and trainers that have tried it, TRX has been an effective addition to our gym experience allowing for a more complete full body workout in a 3-D space that the body is designed to work best in.

"About 2 weeks ago I read all the ab strengthening stuff on your site because I decided I wanted to be strong, instead of having a lot of belly fat. So I started eating healthier, running, exercising, you name it - everything your site said to do to help. Now I am noticing a real difference! Thank you for making this. :D xD"

[This calorie calculator is] the most useful tool on the web that I can find… Also, I compared the calories calculated by your calculator to the calories calculated by the treadmill at my gym, and they're within a couple calories of each other, so yours is as accurate as we're going to get. REALLY AWESOME TOOL. I love it and depend on it. Thank you sooooo much for making this available."

Thank you very much, I was too lean before 2 years (55 Kgs), after the gym now I'm 72kgs, all the muscles have developed... when someone hand shakes with me it can be squeezed easily, they're making fun of me!
