Starting Out an Exercise Routine

Starting out a workout routine is always difficult to do, especially if you can’t remember the last time that you exercised. Here are some things that helped me out, and I hope that they help you out too!
• Get Friends Involved—I actually started a workout routine in college, and I could not have done it without the help of my friends.
We all arranged days and times in which to meet and encouraged one another to show up. It's much easier to follow a schedule when friends are calling you up and making sure that you commit to your goals.
• Take Classes—My older sister is currently taking a yoga class, and she claims that it is much more enjoyable than trying to follow a workout video. She is very social and has to work out with others. In addition to this, she likes having a teacher help her with her exercises.
• Join A Gym—You might think that gym memberships are too expensive for you, but gyms offer discount memberships more often than you might think. I managed to get a year-long membership for ten dollars a month. Gyms that have just opened usually do this, so take advantage of it!
• Do Not Overexert Yourself—There have been times that I have started a new workout, and I get too into it and exercise until I get hurt. Make sure that you do not do this. Give your body time to rest between workouts, especially if you are just starting to work out again.
