Kettlebells: Some Good, Some Bad

by Nico
(New York)

I haven't used kettlebells too often in the past but I have used them once or twice on occasion and I think that some companies have been known to make them better then others do.

For example the first time I used a kettlebell it was a bulky thing that I didn't know what to make of. I really did struggle to a pick it up and after using it for ten minutes my knuckles got sore.

After that I didn't use a kettlebell for the longest time but then later I used a different kettlebell and this one I feel worked much better for what it was. It felt like it carried a lot of weight in a condensed space and the heaviest part of the kettlebell was at the bottom making it so that it was heavy but wasn't putting too much strain on my fingers.

Like I said, I still don't use kettlebells too often and I prefer more conventional methods of exercise like running, swimming, biking, rock climbing and yoga but I did feel that kettlebells worked well for me and if you'r the kind of person who doesn't get out much or doesn't have the time to exercise fully I would recommend this as a alternative assuming that you choose your kettlebell carefully.

"About 2 weeks ago I read all the ab strengthening stuff on your site because I decided I wanted to be strong, instead of having a lot of belly fat. So I started eating healthier, running, exercising, you name it - everything your site said to do to help. Now I am noticing a real difference! Thank you for making this. :D xD"

[This calorie calculator is] the most useful tool on the web that I can find… Also, I compared the calories calculated by your calculator to the calories calculated by the treadmill at my gym, and they're within a couple calories of each other, so yours is as accurate as we're going to get. REALLY AWESOME TOOL. I love it and depend on it. Thank you sooooo much for making this available."
