How Kettlebells Have Helped Me Achieve a Better Body

by Brandon
(Toronto, Ontario)

When I decided to get myself in better shape, I knew that the recipe for success would be one part hard work, one part determination, and one part focus. I put together an exercise and workout schedule for myself, and I was diligent in sticking to it.

I used everything from a treadmill, to dumbbells, to an elliptical machine, all the way down to a skipping rope. However, one piece of equipment helped me reach new heights in my regime, and that piece was a kettlebell.

On a recommendation from a friend, I invested in a 50 pound kettlebell, and in hindsight, it was one of the best investments I have ever made. I immediately loved all of the different things I was able to do with my new kettlebell, which I found worked my body in different ways than I had before. I used it for everything from exercises that involved carrying it across my yard over my head, to lifting it with me while doing squats. Whatever the exercise, the burn was constant, and my body always benefited because of it.

After a month or two of using my kettlebell every other day, I found my body stronger than ever. My absolute favorite part of using a kettlebell was that it worked my arms and upper body in an even way. What I mean by this is, when using it, I never worked one arm or one side of my body more than the ever, due to having to pick it up with two hands to lift it properly. This allowed me to gain strength in each arm evenly, which has really benefited me. My left arm, in particular, is stronger than ever.

For those of you considering getting a kettleball to add to your workouts, don't waste any more time thinking about it and get out there and try one for yourself. You'll be absolutely in awe of what you were missing out on. After a while, I was smart enough to listen to my friend's recommendation, so I hope you're wise enough to listen to mine. Just don't try to lift too much at first, as that could be very harmful to your body.

"About 2 weeks ago I read all the ab strengthening stuff on your site because I decided I wanted to be strong, instead of having a lot of belly fat. So I started eating healthier, running, exercising, you name it - everything your site said to do to help. Now I am noticing a real difference! Thank you for making this. :D xD"

[This calorie calculator is] the most useful tool on the web that I can find… Also, I compared the calories calculated by your calculator to the calories calculated by the treadmill at my gym, and they're within a couple calories of each other, so yours is as accurate as we're going to get. REALLY AWESOME TOOL. I love it and depend on it. Thank you sooooo much for making this available."
