Eat Right, Exercise, and Keep Focused

The summer of 2010 I gained over 15 lbs. I had been eating a lot over the course of 2 months. I ate food such as burgers and fries almost every other day. I was a slim guy but I gained 15 lbs. It was not healthy at all.
I went to my doctor for a regular physical and she told me that I had to start eating healthy again. My lab results came in and I had high cholesterol. I got scared. My doctor told me that high cholesterol can lead to many disease such as heart disease. I really had to make a decision.
I went home and looked at myself in the mirror. I had put on weight and fat mostly around my stomach. I knew I had to do something to loose weight. I made a decision to loose weight.
My goal was to loose 15 lbs in 2 months. I set a realistic goal for myself that was the first step. I started out by cutting out fat food from my diet. I stopped eating fast food and started cooking my own meals. My diet consisted of 50% vegetable 30% meats and 20% carbohydrates, such as bread. I stopped drinking soda and other fruit drink and began drinking water for breakfast, dinner and lunch.
I also bought a pull up bar that attaches to my door and started using that to workout my arms. I also started running 2 miles everyday around my neighborhood. I am now a month and a half into my diet and exercise program and I have lost 10 lbs so far and I am aiming to lose 5 more. Even if I do not reach my goal in the set amount of time I will keep going until I loose 15 lbs total.
