Affordable Weatherproof Workouts

It would be *really* easy for me to write about all the different kinds of exercise I have absolutely no use for at all. I have never been able to understand the abiding passion of golfers, who carry on under blazing sun or drizzling rain. I head right for the apres ski area at the ski lodge without even pausing to consider a run down the slope, because I prefer a hot toddy to a cold booty.
Give me a comfortable old pair of walking shoes, a stretched-out t-shirt and a pair of baggy shorts or fleecy sweatpants. Let me pull my hair into a pony tail and move a few of the lighter pieces of living room furniture out of the way. Point me toward the television and I’m ready to go. I’ll crank up a dvd featuring a perky young miss who will show me her choreography and count the beats for me while I copy her moves. I’ll grapevine and chassé and plié and lunge for a full 50 minutes with a smile on my face.
Stationary bicycling is boring *and* bewildering to me, since you never get anywhere no matter how long you pedal. Tennis bums whack that ball on 100-degree days, getting sweat all over those lovely little white outfits and paying exorbitant prices for club memberships while they do so. And speaking of paying, have you checked out the price of a gym membership lately? Rowing, lane swimming, wall climbing, discus throwing, pole vaulting? Are you kidding??? Not for me, oh no.
No weather conditions to battle, no money to pay. For me, low impact aerobics at home are the only way to fly!
